Dr. Julianne Suarez received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Virginia Tech in 2017. She first practiced medicine on thoroughbred racehorses in Kentucky and then New York before finding her true passion for small animal medicine. Prior to veterinary school, she worked in small animal hospitals, shelters, and the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans. She is ecstatic to call Colorado home, where she lives with her best friend, Townes, an 11 year old plott hound mix, who like her, was born and raised in Louisiana. When she is not caring for animals, you can find her skiing, climbing, hiking, biking, or at home cooking a pot of jambalaya. Dr. Suarez's primary professional interests include lameness, nutrition, internal medicine, and surgery.
