Elizabeth Healy -- Veterinary Technician (pictured with her dogs; Tobey, Tanner, and T-bone)

Liz moved to Colorado from Boston, Massachusetts in 2003. She graduated with an Associates Degree from Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology in 2005 and is a Certified Veterinary Technician. Liz did her internship at Evergreen Animal Hospital in 2005 and returned to our staff in July of 2006. Liz lives in Evergreen with her three dogs, a Golden Retriever named Tallie, a Shetland Sheepdog named Tobey, and a Chihuahua named T-Bone, as well as her two cats, Frankie and Phoenix. She is currently working part-time and attending the University of Colorado at Denver to get her Business Degree.





 

 


                                       

McKella Grunow -- Veterinary Technician (pictured with her dogs, Casey, Lucy, and Enzo)

McKella is a Colorado Native.  She received her Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology from the Bel-Rea Institute in June 2008.  She also completed her National Board exam, making her a Certified Veterinary Technician.  She has 3 dogs; a Red Heeler mix (Lucy), a Labrador mix (Enzo), a Chow mix (Casey), and a cat (Guynan).  In her spare time she enjoys horseback riding, camping, watching movies, and four-wheeling with her family and friends.  McKella got married on March 5th, 2010 to Jon Grunow and they are currently looking for a home in the mountain area.
 


 

 


 

Linda Joy -- Veterinary Technician

Originally from New Jersey, Linda has lived in Colorado for 28 years.  After graduating from Adams State College in 1980 with a B.A. in Anthropology, she attended the University of Maine and became a Certified Veterinary Technician in 1985.  With 15 years of experience, Linda rejoined us in October aftering having worked with us from 1998 to 2001 at the old Evergreen Veterinary Services location.  An avid outdoors woman, she enjoys her free-time moutain biking, backpacking, hiking, snowboarding, skiing, and snowshoeing in Colorado's great outdoors. She currently lives with her cat, Nermal in her home in Bailey.  


 

 

 



Heather Kull -- Head Veterinary Technician (pictured with her dog, Niko)

Heather is a California native who moved to Colorado in the Summer of 2006.  She graduated from the University of California at Davis with a Bachelor's degree in Animal Science.  Following graduation, she enrolled at the Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology where she graduated with highest honors.  She came to Evergreen Animal Hospital in the Summer of 2008 for her school internship, and has been working with us ever since.  Heather is currently owned by four dogs, three cats, three tortoises, and one giant fish.  In her spare time, she loves to leash up her wolf dog with his backpack and get lost in the wilderness.



 

 

 

 Tonja Tomlin -- Veterinary Technician (pictured with her dog, Sadie)


Tonja comes to Evergreen Animal Hospital with eight years of technical experience and veterinary school aspirations. She grew up in Northwest Louisiana, but headed west for Colorado after graduating college with a degree in literature. After a brief stint caring for the animals of Northwest Chicago, she has returned to the mountains once again ready to help animals in need. Tonja appreciates long hikes, good books, and hound dogs. She lives in Evergreen with her boyfriend, Jeremy, and their Basset Hounds, Sadie, Clancy, and Beatrice.

Elizabeth is a Colorado native.  She graduated from Bel-Rea and received her certification as a veterinary technician in 2005.  She is currently going back to school to receive a degree in Zoology in hopes of someday working with with wildlife or zoo animals.  Elizabeth is the owner to 5 ferrets, 2 dachshunds, 1 chihuahua, and a leopard gecko.  She is also the single mother to her beautiful 2-year old daughter, Daphne. 


GiAnna DeJulio (pictured with one of her ferrets, Rin)


GiAnna is a Colorado native who graduated from Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology and received her certification in June of 2009 to become a Cerified Veterinary Technician. She joined the staff of Evergreen Animal Hospital in August 2009. GiAnna currently lives in Westminster with her twin sister, father, 3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 ferrets, and a parakeet.


 

 

 

 


 Val Engsberg -- Veterinary Technician/ER Shift Supervisor (pictured with her dogs, Boo and Zephyr)

Val has worked in Emergency and Critical Care for about 10 years.  She loves her job and the patients she cares for.  She is a Colorado native, and enjoys hiking, camping, crafts, reading, and riding her horse, Tess.  She has two dogs, Boo and Zephyr, and a cat named Ceetah.
 









 


 


Stephanie James -- Veterinary Technician (pictured with her dog, Taco)

Stephanie James graduated from the Bel Rea Institute of Animal Technology in 1994 and has always enjoyed emergency medicine the best.  She is currently one of the "overnight" technicians and wouldn't take any other shift.  She has worked in various positions in the veterinary field for twenty three years.  Steph is a working Mom of both two an four-legged kids and loves living in Colorado as she has all her life.
